Siiiigh.
I do indeed... and quite often. Life really does get increasingly compex. The purpose of this post was to remind us of all those moments.
I took it as an allegorical statement about disappointment. i.e. the "pot of gold" at the other end of the rainbow is just some sap crying his eyes out.
This is why i disagree with teaching kids the meaning of books. Who knows why the author wrote it?? For all we know animal farm is a charming story about animals.
I'm sure a few ignorant plebs read it as such
